Sometimes our emails are going to recipients spam folders. If you don't receive a reply it may be worth checking yours.
Join us for an informal weekend of haymaking at Broadrake. We will be turning grass cut over the previous couple of days to dry it out and make hay. We will be using pitchforks, rowing up with traditional hay rakes, making cocks for overnight and maybe a large haystack. Then we will hopefully be able to make some small hay bales using our hand baling machine.
If you are experienced and have your own scythe you are welcome to bring it as there will be grass to cut but I am afraid we cannot give any scything tuition at this event.
Come for one day, both days, all day or just an hour or so - it's up to you. Bring a packed lunch. If you are interested please let us have your details, then we can update you with what is happening close to the time as the weather may affect what we can achieve.
We have kept the bunkbarn free so there will be accommodation available on Saturday night if you want to make a weekend of it. First come first served.
